Now I had to go down to CUSA and pick up another. Take it home and try it, bammo same error. Now I have my nice new crucial PC2100 ECC Registered DDR ram. 417 a freaking chip. OUCH. Reboot problem
On coming through the bios at boot up, it says SPD supported, then shows the Primary Slave (CDRom) and the other drives. It doesn't actually mention a BTW way Windows does report it as the correct size in Explore etc. It has all happened since I Flashed the bios to the new one and changed to a higher CPU.

... will not delete by conventional methods, use WINAMP to explore and find the file, highlight it, but do not open it, then just push the delete key. Voila !!!!! When I have a file that braind-dead Windoze refuses to delete, I just boot up in Linux and use my best friend 'rm' -- those two letters never fail me :)
